I thoroughly enjoyed Papa Zhu's XO sauce, it really elevated my meals, having splashed it around on fried rice, chicken, stir fry noods and some veggies too. It's such an easy way to add flavour with zero effort and the flavour is strong but not overpowering so it complements well without taking away from whatever you've doused it in.
The xo is quite rich in ingredients, every bite was full of scallopy goodness and you can just tell it isn't skimpy when it comes to quality produce.
I haven't done it yet but I can just tell that a nice sunny side up egg on toasted sourdough with a lashing of the xo being the perfect brunch. Mmm...
